The Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) is one of Australia’s largest public research organisations. ANSTO is the custodian of landmark infrastructure including the Open Pool Australian Light-water (OPAL) multi-purpose reactor, Australian Synchrotron, Centre for Accelerator Science, Australian Centre for Neutron Scattering and the National Deuteration Facility.
More than 500 scientists, engineers and technicians work at ANSTO to answer significant questions relating to human health, environment, nuclear fuel cycle and industry using nuclear techniques.
ANSTO Health manufactures and supplies a range of radiopharmaceuticals, radiochemicals, kits and accessories for use in research, industry and the health sector. Each week ANSTO provides over 10,000 doses of potentially lifesaving nuclear medicines across Australia and the region.
